A strong trend towards introducing ERAs in public procurement exists in a number of countries, including various countries in Asia, Central and Eastern Europe and some countries in Latin America.

In other regions, although all the countries may be developing ones, some are clearly more advanced in certain respects than others.

And you can see other countries as well.

At the national level, a number of countries initiated preparation of national action programmes, and designated national focal points.

It was noted that some countries had established or were in the process of establishing space agencies and that some countries had national space committees while others functioned through ad hoc mechanisms. .

Available data on those countries debt profile2 (see table 2) indicate a degree of continued vulnerability in some of those countries.

Some have been more forthcoming than others in their response.

National ICT strategies have already been put in place in some countries, while other countries have yet to formulate clear strategies.

Supply demand ratios are expected to be positive for some countries under some climate scenarios and negative for others.

The Expert Meeting could draw lessons from country specific experiences.

(c) States held a number of different positions.

How they got slowly richer and richer, and they add statistics.

Some States had explicitly recognized its neutral status others had not objected to it.

It is a serious crime in some countries, but a tax deductible business expense in others.

Good experiences in some countries should be made available to others.

Some nations select officers from their reserve components, while others select them from their active regular forces.

The fact that some countries are poor while others are prosperous poses a great threat to international peace and security.

Unless this is achieved, the non proliferation regime would benefit some at the expense of others while excluding yet a third group which has not yet acceded to the Treaty.

Some of these countries undoubtedly retain this capacity in others, that capacity may have eroded.

Several countries have joined or returned to the association in recent years, and still others wish to join.

In some countries the population density is quite high.

Some State institutions are now less dependent on international experts.

Some had experienced rapid economic growth and were participating more actively in the world economy. However, many other countries had been marginalized from the process.

Others experienced prolonged droughts, while some suffered from both droughts and excessive rains.

41. While some countries had decreased their contributions others had increased them, so the Agency had in fact been more fortunate than other international agencies with a less stable income.

The countries affected are not necessarily the developing ones.

I'll just flip through a few other slides.

They are the U.S.A., other Western countries going across in those triangles and a few Gulf states in there actually.

Some experts suggested that these countries could be assisted by international organizations in gathering and spreading information on these opportunities.

Some countries indicated that this principle was usually applied.

Efforts should be made to assist countries such as my own, which are still in the process of consolidating their economic gains.

In some, registration or licensing is mandatory, in others it is voluntary.

In some States the scope of the functions of such officials was quite broad while in others it was limited.

We have gathered here to defend human rights in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and to prevent certain Powers from claiming that some countries have more rights or that some countries do not have the right to enjoy their legitimate rights.

It was clear from the current discussion that the methodology unfairly burdened some States while failing to reflect other States' true capacity to pay or the special responsibilities borne by some of them.

In some countries, substantial peace initiatives undertaken in 2003 had aroused hope for a solution, but in other countries prospects were bleak.

These developments are being introduced in several countries on a pilot basis.

The content of some declarations met with objections made by a number of States.

These countries are major export destinations for developing countries and include some of the most dynamic developing country markets.

(f) The opening of human rights dialogues with a number of countries

That process needs to occur in selected countries.

In some countries there existed a segregated electoral system where seats were assigned to certain groups.

Single windows have been established in several developing countries.

Moreover, a number of initiatives have been undertaken by some developed countries to strengthen GSP benefits in favour of LDCs.
