The meeting will take place in the last week of April this year.

The upcoming elections in 2006 represented a key opportunity in that regard.

I should like, however, to stress one point, that is, the efforts that now need to be made with regard to the local, legislative and presidential elections to take place this fall.

We expect those issues to be taken into account at the forthcoming meetings of the World Trade Organization, in particular at the Ministerial Conference to be held in Hong Kong later this year.

Today, we hope that elections will be duly held and that international cooperation will be forthcoming in a timely manner.
