The resources for posts provide for the establishment of six P 3 posts, which represent conversions of existing posts funded from extrabudgetary resources.

This breakdown is not available for the extrabudgetary funds, which represent nearly all of the total expenditure.

The Norwegian Government fully supported the proposed budget, its priorities, its overall amount, and the reallocation of resources.

For 2004 2005, expenditure on programmes accounted for 80.9 per cent of total resources, with the support budget resources accounting for 19 per cent of the total.

1.212 The 62 posts funded from other sources in Table 20 above include 23 posts funded by project funds, 16 JPOs funded by governments, two posts funded by UNESCO, two posts funded by WHO, one post funded by the MMP, one D 1, one P 5, seven P 4, eight P 3 and one P 2 (total 18 posts) included in respect of the Agency's total requirements for potential funding from the UN regular budget or through earmarked funding.

The need for such complementary funding would be fully offset by reduced requirements of general purpose funding for the core activities by the same amount, with no increase in the combined total requirements for general purpose resources.

(10) As regards intangible assets, it is required to list item by item their acquirement form, initial value, beginning balance, accrual at current period, amount transferred out at current period, amount of amortization at current period, amount of accumulated amortization, ending balance, the number of remaining years of amortization.

As a result, net domestic resources available for investment, as represented by domestic savings less net transfers abroad (or gross national savings), were reduced by that much, thereby adversely affecting the level of domestic investment and increasing the gap between investment and savings.

Figure 5 shows posts financed from regular resources by appropriation line.

The National Programme for Children exceeded its resources ceiling by 25 per cent, while the other programmes were between 5 and 40 per cent below their resources ceiling.

Each alliance has generated joint products such as the Microfinance Practical Guide and case studies of microfinance institutions.

In 1994 95 there were 1,981 canteens distributed throughout the country and requiring clearly increasing commitments amounting to D3,772,000 for Tunisia and 1,480,000 for WFP (the total aid provided by WFP is 7,400,000 for the period 1993 1998).

Total expenditure for the microfinance sub goal was 17 per cent, with the upward trend in terms of share in total UNCDF expenditure expected to continue in 2005.

16. Unutilized resources in the amount of 2,228,300 were due to vacancies in international posts.

Accordingly, the budget proposals should be submitted on a full cost basis.

The total requirement at full cost for the post and non post resources for the 2006 07 period and onwards is estimated at 195,100.

In the light of the above, UN Habitat needs additional staffing for youth matters across the board, enhancement of information management systems, and additional resources for publications and communication.

21. The Secretary General should submit budget proposals on a full cost basis, with total requirements from all sources of funding.

This will require additional resources to finance investments, in concert with increased access to export markets.

A 50 per cent vacancy turnover factor has been applied on all new posts requested. (The total resource requirement for the period from 1 July 1998 to 30 June 1999 would have been 45,281,500 if a 5 per cent vacancy turnover factor had been applied across the board on existing as well as proposed new posts.)

D. Total assets sold

The core resources available have declined more sharply than total resources.

The table below provides information on the estimated resource requirements for post and non post resources (inter alia, consultants and experts, operating expenses, travel etc.).

At a later stage, as sound MFIs are created, the maturing microfinance industry becomes self reliant.

Developing countries' exports grew faster than total world exports, which expanded by 20 per cent.

Budget funding of current payments in the social field is being carried out in full.

The total financial requirements of both phases to be financed from supplementary estimates amount to 2.6 million.

The net expenditure for the biennial support budget for 2004 is approximately 70.3 million, representing 21.2 per cent of regular resources and 13.9 per cent of total resources income.
