The entire public sector health infrastructure is financed by the State from its own resources.

Public private partnerships have been promoted by some countries to mobilize public and private resources together, but the scope for increasing resource mobilization by such means remains uncertain.

There have also been public private initiatives to generate new and additional sources of financing for smaller firms.
