This project was undertaken by the Tunisian Government in an effort to modernize hospital management and rationalize the allocation of hospital resources in order to improve the conditions under which patients are treated and the working conditions of health professionals in the public sector.

However, paragraph 89A(2)(t) of the federal Workplace Relations Act 1996 permits federal awards to contain provisions covering pay and conditions for outworkers. This is permitted to the extent necessary to ensure fair and reasonable pay and conditions for outworkers, as compared to relevant award provisions for employees who perform the same kind of work at an employer's business or commercial premises.

In order to ensure a safe working environment for a female worker, the employer may temporarily facilitate the working conditions, change the organisation of work (including the shortening of the working day and enabling of suitable breaks) or temporarily transfer the female worker to daytime or evening job.

200. Concerning working conditions, the Labour Code contains provisions on health and safety in the workplace.

These changes apply to eligible parents who work in the private sector.

Alternative work schedules are being introduced to help improve conditions of life and service of staff.

In light of those considerations, it was decided to deal with cooperation involving administrators in a provision separate from the one on cooperation between courts.

Much more needs to be done to address the threats and conditions I have just described.

With regard to the contents of this report, special attention should be devoted to the implementation of article 7 on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of just and favourable conditions of work and, inter alia, fair wages and equal remuneration for work of equal value.

C. Conditions and security of women's work
