7. As for the information in the National Registry of Population and Personal Identification, however, it is considered that only the person concerned and the judicial authorities may have access to that information.

The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) provides for statutory control of the collection, holding and use of personal data in both the public and private sectors. Its provisions are based on internationally accepted data protection principles.
