The gap between the rich and the poor is widening.

The growing gap between rich and poor is fuelling inequality.

They considered the growing gap between military spending and official development assistance to be scandalous.

Such inequities have created ever greater gaps between the immensely rich and those who have barely enough to survive.

I consider the constantly increasing gap in income distribution between the North and the South, as well as the arms race, to be the greatest obstacles to the well being and prosperity of nations.

The gap in technological capabilities is increasing.

The gap between North and South continued to widen.

But the wealth gaps are growing wider.

The difference is considerable and growing.

Reaffirming that the widening gap between the economically developed and developing countries is unsustainable and that it impedes the realization of human rights in the international community, and makes it all the more imperative for every nation, according to its capacities, to make the maximum possible effort to close this gap,

In an age of rising inequality, at least some countries have narrowed their wealth and income gaps. Brazil is the recent pacesetter, markedly expanding public education and systematically attacking remaining pockets of poverty through targeted transfer programs.

They also have the potential for widening the gap between rich and poor.

And as soon as you've got that idea, you should immediately wonder what happens if we widen the differences, or compress them, make the income differences bigger or smaller?

It was important to adopt policies and measures that would help to narrow the widening gap between developed and developing countries, especially the digital divide, and to reduce external debt in order to lighten the burden on poor countries.

Without action this will continue to deepen.

Increasing disparities in income and access to services

At the same time, paradoxically, explosive HIV growth continues in most regions of the world, and the prevention gap is widening between rich and poor countries.
