Such a report would include technology achievement indicators and benchmarks, a review of emerging technologies and related policies, as well as best practices and case studies on the application of science and technology to the achievement of the MDGs.

They will also help the establishment of national implementation plans and programmes to promote the introduction and diffusion of best available technologies best environmental practices and ESTs, such as non combustion technologies to eliminate POP wastes and POP contaminated equipment.
