The minimum disability pension with respect to employment related accidents or occupational diseases for disabled persons in groups I and II is 45.8 per cent of the average wage in the last quarter, and for disabled persons in group III 36 per cent of this wage.

18. International Federation of Disabled Workers and Civilian

Persons with a disability condition before 30 years of age, caused by an illness not related to work, acquire the right to disability insurance on condition that the disability insurance covers at least one third of their working time.

In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, there are 70,000 disabled workers 49,916 in category I (totally disabled to work) and 14,500 in category II (physical disabilities from work accidents and professionally related health conditions and accidents outside work).

The rights to work of the category II disabled are defined under regulations on pension and disabled persons' insurance.

It also seeks to assist the disabled and to train the personnel who will be concerned with their rehabilitation.

(iv) Undertakings on behalf of the disabled and elderly people

The State is supporting mothers who have disabled children as dependents.

The International Federation of Disabled Workers and Civilian Handicapped (FIMITIC) was created in 1953 and is an international federation of disabled, thus bringing together representatives of the disabled and handicapped into an international non political organization under the guidance of the disabled themselves to promote greater opportunities for the disabled and their integration into the community, and to act as a coordinating body for all similar national organizations.

In addition, the pension regulation contains provisions concerning disability pension to people whose disability makes them unfit for work.

Responses also showed that 56.1 per cent raise awareness among relevant administrations and managers about issues affecting persons with disabilities in the workplace, 27.2 per cent provide accessible transportation to and from work and 48.0 per cent consult disabled persons' organizations about issues of disability and the workplace, while 14.9 per cent have no measures relating to the employment of persons with disabilities.

The disability programme held a regional workshop for all specialized staff to review the UNRWA policy on disability.
