The Government is carrying out reconstruction and rehabilitation programmes in those areas as well as a northern Uganda reconstruction programme.

As concerns reconstruction and development programmes, a document entitled Priority programme for reconstruction and development, 2005 2008 is now being finalized.

It therefore recommends that consideration be given to reorganization of the subprogrammes in the context of the biennial programme plan for 2008 2009.
