This fund balance includes unpaid pledges equivalent to 142,000 and a non convertible currency component equivalent to 93,000.

The regular resources cash balance at the end of 2004 was 329 million, consisting of 318 million in convertible currencies and 11 million in non convertible currencies.

6. Djibouti enjoys one of the most liberal economic regimes in Africa. Its currency is freely convertible and there are no controls on capital movement.

In 2014, China s currency ranked seventh in global central bank reserves, eighth in international bond issuance, and 11th in global currency trading. Moreover, the renminbi remains non convertible for most capital transactions, China s financial markets are primitive, and trading margins for the exchange rate are still set daily by the monetary authorities.

Parties could be asked to agree that annual contributions be fixed in euros and the equivalent of the euro amount be paid in any convertible currency.
