We understand that participation requires bridging differences of cultural diversity as well as mutual comprehension between persons of different social backgrounds.

Rather, the expectation is that all social and economic development work by UNDP should purposefully take account of gender differences, and promote gender equality.

Within many countries, differences have been observed depending on the region, place of residence, urban rural area, social and economic status, age, and demographic status.

Despite the differences in their historical backgrounds, social systems, developmental levels, cultural traditions and religious beliefs, they have all contributed to the civilization of humanity.

The levels of morbidity and mortality encountered in women also reveal this mixture of diseases, which in turn follow internal differences of regional development and social class.

The differences between the social democracies and the US show up strongly in category after category. In the social democracies, less than 10 of children grow up in relative poverty (meaning households with less than half of the country s median income).

Differences between men and women are apparent in the standardisation of benefits for single parents, the reintegration into employment of single parents on social assistance benefit, and the separate facilities provided to support women within the overall social support system.

And even in adulthood, differences in this brain region can explain differences among adults in how we think about and judge other people.

Now that we see these huge differences in savings rates, how is it possible that language might have something to do with these differences?

Huge differences can occur without drugs, without surgery.

We tend to see commonalities more than differences.

So how do they deal with their differences?

And you have huge differences within countries also.

But look at the scale of the differences.

There are subtle differences between the two pictures.

Significant differences persist between developed and developing countries.

In the past, politicians of the left often came from the trade unions, while conservatives were rich businessmen or landowners. Social classes had their own interests, which were represented by parties divided by clear ideological differences.

As long as urban areas are socially and economically deprived, communitarianism will only serve to mask the violation of the principle of equality. Social groups are then measured in terms of their ethnic or racial differences.

The differences in the historical heritage of all countries, their cultural traditions, social and political structure, value systems and paths of development must not become a pretext for interference in the internal affairs of another State.

And then finally, to show that some of the differences between people, in how we judge others, can be explained by differences in this brain system.

And these are not trivial differences in mortality rates.

The biggest differences are at the bottom of society.

Every now and then they clash over their differences.
