The Committee was also informed that the Department's internal annual review employed a results based framework similar to that of the programme budget, incorporating self evaluation in the daily work of programme managers, with a view to institutionalizing a new departmental culture of improved strategic planning through systematic evaluation.

The new programming manual, the UNDAF evaluation guidelines, and the guidelines for the country programme action plan and the annual work plan were revised to integrate gender analysis and programme requirements.
