5. The Constitution (Amendment) Order 1997 introduced changes with regard to the right to vote.

Decisions can be appealed before the higher courts, and the Constitutional Court may review them.

If there is no modification of the Charter, there will certainly be no new working methods.

122. The 15 August 1974 revision of the Constitution in no way amends the Law of 1972, but on the contrary maintains it in force until it is repealed (transitional art.

In 2000, the Constitution had been amended to provide a stronger foundation for the effective implementation of human rights.

Righting the EU Constitution

The Greek Constitution was revised in 2001.

In order to amend that provision, a referendum of 75 per cent of the population would be required, since the Constitution could not be altered by an Act of Parliament.

Due to constitutional queries regarding the Bill, it was pulled back in Cabinet for further review and amendment.

Constitutional amendments

It has submitted to Parliament proposals for the revision of the Penal Code, including the Domestic Violence and Constitutional Reform Act.

In addition, TRAC was advocating for changes in the draft constitution in regard to customary laws and practices.

Such a new mandate, it was said, would require amendments to the Charter.

By contrast, the slow and uncertain process of constitutional reforms is cause for concern, since important changes in the legislation governing the country s justice system are contingent on such reforms.

Within the framework of draft of the Revised Constitution of the Republic, the question of nationality is an object of quarrel in Mozambique.

All that was forcing the people of the islands to treat the self determination process and constitutional amendments more seriously.

As to the Trusteeship Council, any change in its status would require major amendments to the Charter.

(b) Amendments to the Agrarian Reform Act
