Services provided to Member States might include parliamentary services (congresses, Commission sessions, inter sessional consultations, meetings of the informal consultative group on resource mobilization) and operational activities (advisory services, training courses, workshops and seminars).

At its third session, the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) welcomed the contributions made at this workshop and noted that consensus on mechanisms for consultation had not been reached among non governmental organizations (NGOs) participating in the workshop.

A report on the seminar was thereafter published as a document of AALCC.

Recent seminars were organized in Prague (1993), in Sofia (1994) and in Warsaw (1995).

For example, in response to the increasing commercialization of outer space, the Office for Outer Space Affairs should continue its yearly workshops on space law.
