As stated in the General Education Act, there are three types of education basic, upper secondary and higher.

The drop out rate from general education schools has been fairly stable.

More and more students start acquiring general secondary education after completing 9 years of basic education in the academic year 2002 2003 as much as 70.8 of the students who had completed 9 years of studies started acquiring general secondary education, 81.3 of them female.

The Law On General Education provides that the acquisition of primary education starts in the calendar year when the child reaches the age of 7.

After the primary education stage, both male and female students have the opportunity to choose between general and vocational education, depending on their averages.
