The Appellate Court, allegedly, affirmed the decision of the Trial Court.

Decisions can be appealed before the higher courts, and the Constitutional Court may review them.

The court militias enforce the judgements.

None the less, the decisions handed down by the final court of jurisdiction may be appealed before the Court of Cassation, which shall rule on the legality of the decision taken.

In particular, the Italian Constitutional Court has implicitly recognized the right to compliance with court judgements by the public authorities as an integral part of an effective court decision .

The appellate court delivered its judgement on 4 February 2005.
