Further, any language requirement used with the purpose of excluding, inter alia, customers of a specific national or ethnic origin would be contrary to article 1 of the Convention.

In addition, any person could petition directly the Supreme Court of Israel sitting as a High Court of Justice, and the petition would be heard within 48 hours of submission.

Habeas corpus petitions could also be submitted to the Supreme Court.
