The share of coal declined from around 65 per cent to about 50 per cent, and that of oil from 11 to 5 per cent the share of nuclear power increased from 21 to 29 per cent and that of natural gas from less than 1 to 13 per cent.

The policy includes reducing carbon dioxide emissions, increasing the share of gas in end use energy and power, conserving energy to decrease fossil fuel consumption, increasing the share of renewable energy and adding nuclear and hydro generating capacity.

The estimation of the present value of Provident Fund loans on an aggregate basis indicates that the difference between the book value and the present value of the Provident Fund loans would be immaterial relative to the overall balance sheet total and amount to 1,371,727.20.

Their share in the total number of unemployed persons thus amounted to roughly 29 per cent.

A deduction of the amount of such savings was made from the assessed contributions of the States Parties for 2003.
