Another example is Kosovo, where NATO troops have provided the main stabilization force, the Kosovo Force, which has operated under a United Nations mandate and in tandem with the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK).

The draft guidelines were received on 30 September 2005 from the consultant and were under review by the Global Compact Office as well as the Procurement Service.

The new contingent owned equipment arrangements have also been partially introduced in six other missions UNDOF, UNFICYP, MINURSO, UNPF, UNAVEM III and UNAMIR.

110. The Asia and Middle East Unit is responsible for the day to day financial management of UNIFIL, UNDOF, UNFICYP, UNIKOM, UNMOT, UNMOGIP, UNSCO, UNTSO, UNSMA, the Special Representative of the Secretary General in Cambodia and the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus.

Large quantities of material have been shipped from UNLB to UNPF, UNIFIL, UNOMIG, UNOMIL, the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) and the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP).

There is an armed political group in eastern Sudan, the Sudan Alliance Forces (SAF), which are allied with the SPLM A under the National Democratic Alliance, an umbrella body of Sudanese political opposition parties.
