The subvention should be equivalent to the amount of annual rental, maintenance and other administrative costs associated with conducting the core training programme for the previous year.

In 2002, the salaries were increased to bring net salaries into line with the related gradings.

192. The amount of the disability pension is calculated similarly to the amount of the old age pension.

The amount of the pension will be equal to that of an early retirement pension on rounds of age or length of service.

UNFPA received 49 multi year pledges in 2004, up from 20 in 2003.

151. The degree of coverage for old age pensions, compared with the average wage, is almost 60 per cent.

Currently, the benefit is terminated upon the remarriage, with the payment of a lump sum settlement corresponding to twice the annual rate of the benefit.

In comparison with the preceding year the number of those who have claimed the maternity benefit, has increased by 7 .

Compared to 2005, the main increase in investment funds is in fund raising.

14. The excess of income over expenditure of 211,832 in the General Fund for 1997 represented an improvement over 1996, when there was a shortfall of 254,633.

For men affiliated to Special Funds the age for pension entitlement was reduced by two years and therefore harmonized with the age for pension entitlement for women, so that, the people insured to those Funds (irrespective of sex) who became affiliated to any main insurance Fund from 1 1 1983 to 31 12 1992 may be entitled to old age pension when they reach their 58th year of age or 35 years of insurance.

In comparison with 1991, the expenditures on sickness benefits increased from 0.8 million LVL to 9.6 million LVL in 2001, likewise the average amount of sickness benefit (per day) increased from 0.07 LVL in 1991 to 3.68 LVL in 2001 (see the table).

Against those budgets, on 1 August 1998, 662.1 million was available ( 129.7 million in unobligated funds carried over from 1997 and 532.4 million in 1998 income).

The UNFPA resource framework for 2006 2007 is consistent with the 2004 2007 MYFF, covering the second part of the MYFF and providing support to the strategic priorities of the UNFPA programme, which is aligned to the Millennium Development Goals and poverty reduction.

1.215 Project funding has accounted for a considerable share of the Agency's income and expenditure in recent years.

It is proposed that the reserve fund be maintained at the same level of 600,000 as in the current biennium.

Data for 1995 will be issued as soon as it has been cross checked with the database of the Pension Fund.

The total amount embezzled during the period from March to July 1997 was equivalent to some 95,000.

The General Conference decided (GC.10 Dec.15) to maintain the Fund at the same level for the biennium 2004 2005.
