In some of them the curricula consists of special educational programmes in others it follows the regular general education plans and programmes.

It's an informal school, but it's really about holistic education.

The Government has also established non formal basic education schools (NFBE).

There is also a large system of informal education in form of girls being taught at home by their elders and in mosque schools and seminaries.

The State is improving education processes both in general education institutions and in secondary vocational and higher learning institutions.

The number of special education schools for children who cannot be integrated has increased from 30 to 185 in about 10 years.

As a rule, German is the language of instruction at schools offering general education, at vocational schools and at universities.

More specifically, the Plan proposes actions and goals for five different axes 1) Basic Education Early Childhood, Elementary and Middle Schools 2) High Education 3) Informal Education 4) Education for Professionals in the Justice and Security Systems and 5) Education and the Media.

A revision of the school curriculum was currently being undertaken with a view to including components of intercultural education.

Girls apos schools and rural schools have also been the least successful with respect to job training in the formal education system.

Uzbekistan's system of religious education includes the Tashkent Islamic Institute, 10 madrassas and Orthodox and Protestant seminaries.

Lately, pre school education has been introduced into regular primary schools.

The primary education being provided may be full time, parallel, or schools for children who are developmentally impaired.

The curriculum for the compulsory school is the responsibility of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture.

In addition, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport is incorporating relevant programs into the school curriculum.

In regard to education, the conditions for enrolment in any kind of basic, general secondary or vocational school, as contained in the directives on registration and admission to schools and classes, do not discriminate on the basis of gender.

Several activities have been selected in relation to this project formal and non formal education activities, supply of school equipment to the schools and three non governmental organizations which take care of the children concerned, training of 36 teachers and food supply to the beneficiaries.

The female dropout rates from the various levels of formal education and the number of graduates therefrom illustrate the trend of earlier years for greater efficiency in the education of girls than of boys, as measured by continuation in the system.

Beginning vocational education is made available to citizens in keeping with their interests, wishes and capabilities on the basis of basic and general secondary education provided in vocational lycées, vocational schools, special vocational schools and training complexes, centres and other educational institutions equivalent to them.

517. An important part in the transformation of the secondary education model is being played by non public schools.

Private schools also generally have coeducation.

Preventive or rehabilitative measures include enrolment in formal, non formal and vocational education, though it is disturbing to note that schools have at times been targeted for the purpose of forcibly recruiting children.

In secondary vocational institutions (training schools, technical schools and colleges, and other educational institutions equivalent to them), citizens may obtain a specialty on the basis of general basic, general secondary and beginning vocational education.

14. In accordance with article 7, paragraphs 2 and 3, of the Constitution, religious education is guaranteed in State schools.

163. As a result of the new Law No. 80 1996 on upper secondary education a new curriculum is under preparation and will be developed in close conjunction with the curriculum for the compulsory school to secure harmony between the two school stages.
