2. The Advisory Panel on Management and Finance was established pursuant to the Secretary General apos s bulletin ST SGB 270 of 14 January 1994. It is chaired by the Under Secretary General for Administration and Management and its membership consists of the heads of departments and offices at Headquarters at the under secretary general and assistant secretary general levels, a representative of the Secretary General and the Controller.

Mr. José Antonio Ocampo, Under Secretary General for Economic and Social Affairs, was appointed by the Secretary General as the Coordinator for the Second Decade.

The re appointment of the Secretary General

In the light of the provisions of the resolution mentioned above, the Secretary General proposes to appoint Inga Britt Ahlenius (Sweden) as Under Secretary General for Internal Oversight Services for one fixed term of five years.

The responsibility for implementing this recommendation belongs to the Controller and the Assistant Secretary General for Central Support Services.
