2. The Advisory Panel on Management and Finance was established pursuant to the Secretary General apos s bulletin ST SGB 270 of 14 January 1994. Each department or ministry would have a permanent secretary who would act as the chief policy adviser to the Minister on matters within the responsibility of their department.

12. Coordination among various departments of the Secretariat needs urgent improvement.

The Executive Secretary highlighted the secretariat's initiatives and key activities and reaffirmed its continuous efforts to address challenges in the transport and tourism sectors.

43. The Government of India has constituted a Coordination Committee, under the chairmanship of the Home Secretary, comprising secretaries of other ministries and departments.

In the Ministry of Education and Training, there is one Deputy Minister, one director, 6 deputy directors and 11 directors of provincial department who are women.
